Johnson’s last studio album, On And On, was released last spring. In November, his surf documentary “Thicker Than Water” saw re-release on DVD, with his original soundtrack also available on CD.

Frankenreiter’s debut album is set for a May release on Johnson’s Universal subsidiary, Brushfire Records. The disc was produced by Johnson with Mario Caldato and features musical collaborations with Johnson and G. Love.
