Original punk rock queen Patti Smith is no quitter. Although she has often taken lengthy breaks from her music career to explore her interest in other fields, including social activism, poetry and parenting, Smith always manages to return to the profession that made her famous.
This year, she’s got a new album out and plans to tour the U.S. and Europe through June and July. Although Smith has been doing assorted dates over the last two years, this summer’s trek looks to be her most full-fledged tour since 2001.
