The Ohio-raised musician added his live instrumentation skills to traditional sample-based production methods, and lets rock elements shine on the album alongside hip-hop beats and an array of other influences.

The trek launches September 16 in Portland, Maine. He’ll play venues across the Eastern half of the U.S. for three weeks, finishing up October 2.

Prior to his May tour, RJD2 revealed his elaborate stage show plans to ukhh.com.

“I’m going to be dancing a lot and maybe a little music,” he said. “Let’s see – four turntables and I’m going to try and do lots of back flips. I have the Black Eyed Peas wardrobe coordinator working for me, so I’m hoping I’m going to look as cool as The Black Eyed Peas.”
