We love coming in each morning to see new tour schedules like the latest routings for Whitney Houston and Marillion. We love touching the dates, caressing the lists of cities and kissing all the individual venue names. Especially those halls named after Verizon.

And we love Mondays. That’s ’cause the first day of the workweek is the day we return from the drudgery of weekend events like cookouts, beach parties and drunken orgies, so that we can enter extremely important data like Usher playing on September 3 in Oakland. Yes, there’s nothing like the inner contentment and personal satisfaction one receives when one gets to count all the dates for Maria De Barros or alphabetize all the cities on the Loverboy tour. It’s… It’s… so special!

Plus, we love being there for our employers, especially when they’re stressed out over the long distance phone bill, like when we called our second cousin in Timbuktu so that we could tell her about the new Switchfoot schedule, or when we called our aunt’s next door neighbors’ grandparents in Tibet to tell them about the new dates for Cameo and Paula Poundstone. After all, our employers carry a lot of weight on their shoulders, and we’d be less than the perfect workers if we couldn’t soak up a little of their rage and anger. “Please, sirs, may we have another? Thank you!!”

But, do you know what we love most? What really tickles our inner souls and makes life worth living? No, it’s not the dates for The Temptations, or tracking the changes for Pigmy Love Circus and Norah Jones that really turns us on. Sure, it’s a thrill, but it’s not what we love most about working at Pollstar.com. Oh, no.

Instead, what we love most about working here is the company’s new prescription drug program. Oh, look at the clock. It’s the top of the hour, and we have a saying here at Pollstar.com; “If it’s nine, it must be Prozac time!”

Well, gotta run! Have a nice day.
