The Greek Theatre concerts will feature opening acts Grant Lee Phillips (both days), The Distillers (September 22), and The Thrills (September 23). The shows will come a few weeks after the band kicks off its North American fall tour, which is currently scheduled through early December. The group plans to play all the way up to Christmas, with more dates still to be announced.

The Pixies kicked off their reunion tour in April with a series of low-capacity North American “warm up” dates and followed up with a headlining performance at the Coachella Festival, four sold-out dates in London, a series of festivals and headline shows across Europe, and a set at the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan.

In June, the group released its first new song in more than 12 years – “Bam Thwok” – via iTunes. It quickly became the site’s No. 1 seller in the U.S., U.K., and France.
