Sean Tillman) has announced a tour for the U.K. and U.S. that will surely find fans asking themselves how a not-exactly-svelte R&B/electro sex crooner manages to keep an audience when his live shows consist of stripping down to his tightie whities
Har Mar, along with his harem of scantily clad dancers, kicked off their tour October 2nd at the Keele University in Keel, U.K.
After spending a short amount of time dazzling Britain, the singer will make his way to NYC to promote his new album, The Handler.
The unholy amalgamation of porn star Ron Jeremy and comedian/actor Jack Black knows how to attract a crowd, a talent which has earned him some primo gigs.
In the past two years, the singer has toured with The Strokes, Kelly Osbourne (whom he took as a date to the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards), Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Gossip and others.
Once in the U.S., Har Mar will sex-up cities in the East before heading West to California, Oregon and Washington.
His new record boasts of “all the ladies wanting him” and a song about falling victim to a “DUI,” which in Har Mar’s female-obsessed world translates to “dialing under the influence.” Guest appearances on The Handler feature Northern State, Nick Zinner and Karen of from the YYY’s and Michael Bland of the New Power Generation.
Har Mar Factoid: In case you missed it, the Superstar made a cameo in the movie version of Starsky & Hutch. The scene featured a high-on-cocaine Ben Stiller competing in a disco-style dance off with Har Mar’s character.
