More Blonde Redhead
Blonde Redhead has been infusing the music world with its artsy New York rock for a good decade now. The trio released its sixth album, Misery Is A Butterfly, in March, and supported it with four weeks of U.S. tour dates.
They’re kicking off another round October 4 in Carrboro, N.C., and this time they look to stay on the road for a full two months, wrapping December 4 in Boston. The itinerary boasts nearly 40 dates.
The Liars were originally scheduled to open the tour, but announced in late September that they were pulling out, apparently due to illness.
Misery Is A Butterfly, Blonde Redhead’s first album of new material in four years, was released in March on 4AD / Beggars Banquet. As on their previous two albums, the trio – Kazu Makino and twin brothers Simone and Amedeo Pace – recruited Guy Picciotto of Fugazi to handle production duties.
