They spent the first few months of 2004 finishing up their sophomore album, Outta Sight / Outta Mind. In support of it, they toured Europe in May and June, then did another extended U.K. run in August.

That same month, they headed to Australia. In September, they hit New Zealand and Japan, then did a one-off Los Angeles show before kicking off yet another European tour.

They’ll keep headlining shows across the Continent through late October.

After a quick break for Halloween, they’ll start in on a new Stateside trek – beginning with three shows opening for Velvet Revolver. Then it’s time for the Pixies tour, on which they’ll support through mid-December. On off-days, though, they’ll headline their own gigs in cities like Toledo, Ohio, Hoboken, N.J., and Cambridge, Mass.

Somehow, The Datsuns will also fit in a gig with The Donnas at New York City’s Webster Hall December 1.
