As an Alabama native and Florida resident, Buffett, whose love for the Caribbean is well known, has a deep connection to the area.

This hurricane season has been especially destructive and left many residents with damaged property or homeless. Buffett spends much of his time in this region and has written many songs about the unpredictability of hurricanes, volcanoes and other outbursts of Mother Nature.
