Illness Waylays Hoobastank Tour
(AP – New York) – Hoobastank, nominated for three Grammy Awards, postponed the remaining dates of its tour because lead singer Doug Robb has bronchial pneumonia.
The postponed shows will be rescheduled after the Grammy Awards telecast on February 13, the band’s management said in a statement last week.
Robb, who has been recuperating at his Los Angeles home, was expected to make a full recovery, the statement said, and Hoobastank plans to return to the stage February 3 at the MTV Asia awards in Bangkok, Thailand.
Hoobastank’s “The Reason” has been nominated for song of the year and the band has been nominated for best pop performance by a duo or group with vocal and best rock album .
