Symphony Cancels Perlman Concerts

The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra scrapped two concerts featuring violinist Itzhak Perlman due to the ensemble’s ongoing labor strike.

Perlman was scheduled to perform January 20th and 22nd. The musicians and management have been negotiating for six months, to no avail.

Orchestra members went on strike January 3rd after rejecting a contract offer that included a pay cut. Performances are being decided on a week-to-week basis.
