CCE Partners With PBS

Clear Channel Entertainment has joined with PBS to create a new partnership under which CCE will produce live tours of the network’s performance shows.

CCE will have first right of refusal for live tours of performance shows produced for PBS pledge drives. In addition, the conglomerate plans to produce original fund-raising programs for PBS.

Local affiliates will join with CCE in promoting fund-raisers as televised events and live shows.

The first live venture under the agreement will be the “Celtic Woman” tour, featuring singers from the popular CD compilations of the same name. CCE plans to present 20 shows of the production in large theatres and amphitheatres in July and August.
