Elvis Song Up For Sale
Robert F.X. Sillerman may have rounded up a lot of Elvis Presley’s intellectual property, but there’s at least one tidbit that was up for grabs at press time: the last song Presley wrote, “If I’d Only Bought Her Roses.”
Because co-writer Paul Terry King has 50 percent controlling interest on the song, he put it up for auction on eBay February 10th.
Elvis performed the song privately; it remains unreleased and unpublished.
The winning bidder gets copyright and performance rights. The auction was expected to close February 20th. At press time, the leading bid was $19,100.
