Chong was expected to be going across the country this winter performing what he called “The Marijuana-Logues.” That changed after one call to his parole officer.

Chong – one-half of the biggest drug-humor comedy duos in U.S. history – recently spent nine months in jail because of a sting operation called “Operation Pipe Dreams.” Chong was busted for selling $5,000 worth of water pipes across state lines to federal officers. That apparently made his appearance in a traveling show somewhat of a parole issue.

According to reports, Chong saw people smoking dope while he was onstage at the show’s February 19 stop in Seattle. He was required to report the offense to his parole officer. In return, Chong got his travel permit revoked.

“I can’t be in places where substances are being sold or used,” Chong told the Los Angeles Times.

The tour is said to be postponed until Chong’s parole is finished, which means it should start anew this summer. In the meantime, tickets purchased are expected to be honored at future shows or can be refunded. More information is available at www.marijuanalogues.com.
