AEG Names Hallett Euro Head

Rob Hallett has been named Sr. Vice President, International, for AEG Live and will oversee international business strategies and touring activities for the company as it expands its European operations.

AEG Live President/CEO Randy Phillips made the official announcement March 2nd, although Hallett’s partnership with the company was made public several weeks earlier.

After Hallett left the U.K.’s The Mean Fiddler Music Group in January, Phillips told Pollstar AEG Live would fund his new company and was considering giving him the senior VP position.

AEG Live currently owns London’s Millennium Dome and Manchester Evening News Arena and is building an arena in Berlin. Phillips said the company plans to promote an “increased number” of international tours this year.

“With AEG Live’s ongoing expansion into the European touring market, it became clear that this was an important and necessary position for us to create,” Phillips said. “Having the opportunity to fill this role with such a well-respected and experienced individual such as Rob Hallett made the decision to immediately hire him an easy one.”
