Nelly Draws Crowd Despite Protest

Despite protests from the ministers of 20 different churches, Nelly was able to draw nearly 6,300 fans at Arkansas State University’s 10,500-seat Convocation Center March 12th.

Protestors were concerned about the rapper’s lyrics, which include references to drugs, sex and violence, according to Rev. Adrian Rodgers of the Fullness of Joy Church in Jonesboro.

Apparently, no protestors were in sight as Nelly took the stage.

The concert was part of a nationwide tour scheduled through May.
