Mars Attacks
Fans of prog-rock torch-holders The Mars Volta probably already know that their sophomore album, Frances The Mute, was released March 1. They may even know that the band just finished a week-long European tour in support of the disc.
And, hey, if you’ve been checking pollstar.com like a good kid, you might even know they’re launching a full tour of the U.S. this spring. But here are the details, just in case:
The band will kick things off April 22 in La Jolla, Calif., near its San Diego base. From there, the schedule stretches until June 4 with shows across the continent. The itinerary currently comprises just under 20 dates, but don’t be surprised if it fills out a bit.
Many shows – including Atlanta, Philadelphia, San Diego, Austin, Toronto and both NYC gigs – are already sold out.
