South Carolina Name Change

The new 5,000-seat arena at South Carolina’s College of Charleston will be named Carolina First Center following a $2 million donation from Greenville’s South Financial Group, officials said.

The venue will seat 1,500 more than the school’s current facility.

Construction is expected to begin this summer.
