The tour starts in Nampa, Idaho, June 24. They will then play the Southwest with shows in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Diego, as well as a few other cities. The tour continues on the East coast starting with a gig at the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, Conn. on July 20.

Loggins and Messina will remain largely in the Eastern U.S. for the remainder of July. Dates are also scheduled in the Midwest and Canada for August and September and more are due to be announced soon.

Loggins and Messina began their musical partnership in 1972 when Messina produced Loggins’ first album, Sittin’ In. They quickly developed into an equal billing, performing and releasing five studio albums of original material in as many years.

The idea for a reunion tour came about last year, when Loggins was performing for a benefit in Santa Barbara, Calif.

“Things just sort of flowed together,” said Loggins of when Messina sat in with him during the show. “Something magic happens when the two of us sing together.”

The tour will also feature a “sittin’ in” segment, during which Loggins and Messina hope to get special guests from select markets to join them on stage.
