Facilities Union Scam

The former president of Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees Local 69, which represents workers at New Jersey’s Giants Stadium and Continental Airlines Arena, pleaded guilty May 3rd to charges of theft and embezzlement of at least $120,000 of union funds over a four-year period, according to Newsday.

Prosecutors said David Feeback spent thousands of dollars at restaurants and nightclubs in New York and New Jersey and charged the union for “business expenses.”

He admitted to buying cases of champagne and giving hundreds of dollars in tips to belly dancers, the paper said.
