No Prison Time For Sizzla

Sizzla avoided jail time on a profanity conviction when an appeals court reduced his sentence to a fine of about $33.

The reggae star – born Miguel Collins – was sentenced to 15 days in prison in February after refusing to do community service for swearing during a Christmas Day performance in Jamaica.

The Jamaican Court of Appeal ruled in his favor May 18th, according to Reuters.

Jamaican police have reportedly been cracking down on profanity use by musicians under a colonial-era British law called the Town and Community Act.
