Feds Probe U2 Ticket Scam

The FBI is investigating complaints from U2 fans about phony tickets sold to them on the Internet for the band’s gig at Boston’s FleetCenter.

More than 300 would-be concert-goers showed for the May 24th concert only to find out their ducats were worthless. Some had paid scalpers up to $2,000 a pair for the computer printouts, FleetCenter spokesman Jim Delaney said.

The state attorney general’s office is also checking into the scam
