BGP Shed Posts $1M Loss

The city-owned, Bill Graham Presents-managed Chronicle Pavilion in Concord, Calif., lost nearly $1 million last year for the worst financial showing in the five years since BGP took over operation of the shed, according to the Contra Costa Times.

That means the city will earn nothing from its profit-sharing agreement with BGP, which in turn means less money for community arts events.

Still, the Bay Area shed posted $11 million in revenues with the help of shows by Sting, KISS, and Alabama.

The $980,000 loss will reportedly be absorbed by BGP and its parent company, Clear Channel Entertainment.
