Flom Leaves Atlantic

Atlantic Records Group Chairman/CEO Jason Flom resigned August 17th and the company’s co-chairman/COO Craig Kallman immediately took over the position.

Apart from some kind parting words to Flom from Warner Music Group boss Lyor Cohen, Atlantic’s press release provided few details.

Flom is credited with two decades’ worth of A&R success for the label, including Twisted Sister, Tori Amos, Sugar Ray, Kid Rock and Simple Plan.

Lava Records, a joint venture between Flom and Atlantic, will become a wholly owned subsidiary of the latter.

Kallman will report directly to Cohen.
