The 11-date October trek was to span more than three weeks.

“It is with great regret that Garbage have decided to cancel their visit to France, Belgium and the U.K. in October,” the band said in a statement on its Web site.

“Having been constantly on the road since the beginning of March the band feel they have somewhat overextended themselves and have mutually decided to conclude their tour at the end of September in Australia. The band wish to extend their apologies to all Garbage fans in the territories involved and thank them profusely for their support.”

All tickets will be refunded, according to the band.

Garbage is currently touring North America, with shows booked through the September 17 KROQ Inland Invasion in Devore, Calif.

Their 10-day Australian tour runs through October 1. The Euro shows would have started five days later in Belgium.
