D’Angelo Gets A Break

R&B singer D’Angelo got a break on his sentence following a September 12th conviction on cocaine possession.

The Grammy Award-winning artist, whose real name is Michael Eugene Archer, pleaded no contest to the felony charge in a Richmond, Va., court.

A judge sentenced him to three years in prison, with the time suspended, and ordered the 31-year-old performer to pay court costs.

Archer’s attorney, Ned Mikula, said his client is “happy to put this behind him.”
