CCE Opens Pan Asia Booking

Clear Channel Entertainment has opened the doors to its Hong Kong office, which will be the home base for promotional efforts across Asia and the Pacific Rim.

The company – Pan Asia Booking – is run by Colleen Ironside, who will be responsible for booking international and local artists across Asia. It is CCE’s first office on the continent, and the company is anticipating 15 to 20 tours in its first year.

“These are exciting times for our organization, entering a market with such exceptional business potential,” CCE President Michael Rapino said in a statement.

The Asian office has been in the works for several months. CCE is expected to be spun-off from parent company Clear Channel Communications and recent layoffs – possibly spurred by a restructuring to prepare the company for public trading – resulted in changes to the China venture.
