INXS Switches Management

INXS has parted with Sydney-based manager David Edwards after seven years and returned to New York City-based Martha Troup.

Troup originally handled the band’s management when it split from Chris Murphy.

Edwards was instrumental in trying to bring the band to a new audience, putting their first post-Hutchence track on a video game, then pitching their reality TV series “Rock Star: INXS” to Mark Burnett.

INXS’ world tour with new singer J.D. Fortune begins January 18 in Vancouver. It is produced by Metropolitan Talent Presents and booked by Keith Naisbitt of International Creative Management.

The tour is to dubbed “Switched On,” after the band’s November-due album, Switch.
