Cam’ron Shot In Failed Carjacking

Rapper Cam’ron is recovering from a gunshot wound he sustained as the victim of an attempted carjacking in Washington, D.C., October 23rd.

The 29-year-old artist, whose full name is Cameron Giles, was sitting at a stop light in his Lamborghini just after midnight when a gunman attempted to commandeer the car. As Giles attempted to drive away, the perpetrator fired one shot that passed through both of his arms, a spokeswoman for Diplomat Records said.

The rapper was treated at a nearby hospital and released later that day.

“People are foolish if they think I’m going to lose my head and give up anything to anyone just because someone threatens me,” Giles said in a statement.

“I’m doing OK. It takes more than a botched carjacking to keep me down.”

He will release his next album, Killa Season, in February.
