“We’ve realised how bored we get when we’re not touring, so we’ve booked some more shows for February to keep ourselves entertained,” the band said in announcing the latest gigs.

The group will play Manchester and London in mid-December, then lay low for a couple of months before hitting the road. They’ll start in Newcastle February 15, with seven shows confirmed over the next 10 days.

The tour is scheduled to wrap at home at Manchester Academy February 25.

The beans were recently spilled on a couple of “secret” Nine Black Alps shows, sponsored by T-Mobile and set for November 24 and 25 in Birmingham and London, respectively.

Fans who registered through the wireless company’s Web site would receive details on the free shows via text message.
