Load Up The Trucks
The Derek Trucks Band is gearing up for a busy few months, with a six-week tour booked to follow their New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Trucks, who moonlights as a guitarist for The Allman Brothers Band, will play two nights with his own group at Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse December 30-31, setting out two weeks later on a nationwide trek that will take them from the Ridgefield Playhouse in Connecticut to the West Coast.
The first couple weeks of the tour are devoted to the eastern seaboard, but the band will be out west by February. Eight shows are booked in California, along with gigs in Nevada, Washington and Oregon. The tour wraps in sunny San Juan Capistrano, Calif., February 25.
More show confirmations are already pouring in, though, with shows in Georgia and Washington, D.C., booked for late March and early April.
