With Ticketrush.co.uk, users can receive up-to-date ticketing notices, including information on tickets kicked back into the system at the last minute, via SMS (short message service, or text messaging) and e-mail. After subscribing to the service, a user can customize it to provide ticketing information on specific venues, artists and even music genres.

But that’s just the beginning. Ticketrush.co.uk has big plans for the coming months, including a fully mobile music service that will allow fans to buy tickets by phone with the push of a few buttons.

Ticketrush.co.uk launched February 1st and has already hooked fans up with last-minute tickets for shows by Depeche Mode and Trivium.

“We are looking forward to working with Nokia on this exciting new marketing partnership,” said Jenni Cairns, Live Nation marketing director, when announcing the service. “Mobile phones will not only become even more integral to people’s lives, but will also contribute to the evolution of the music industry. Ticketrush.co.uk provides mobile access to the latest ticketing offers, which will revolutionize the way we purchase tickets.”
