New Home Depot Center VP/GM

Rod O’Connor has been named senior vice president and general manager of The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.

O’Connor replaces former Home Depot Center managing director Bill Peterson, who was promoted to senior VP of AEG Sports.

O’Connor’s new duties include management of all event services and operations at the venue, including development and programming, guest relations, parking, marketing and public relations.

Previously, O’Connor was the president of the X Prize Foundation, a Santa Monica-based nonprofit whose mission is to create radical breakthroughs that benefit humanity.
