Toni’s Turn
R&B queen Toni Braxton hasn’t embarked on a major tour in nearly 10 years, but she’s looking to change that with a series of North American concerts this spring.
The seven-time Grammy-winner’s tour will kick off March 10 in Atlantic City, with close to 30 dates confirmed and more promised.
She’ll play a mix of casinos and theatres on the trek, hitting Chicago’s House of Blues, Rama, Ontario’s Casino Rama and others through mid-April. More dates are on the books for June with the last date set for July 3 at Houston’s Essence Music Festival.
Braxton’s last full-blown North American tour was a three-month co-headlining venture with Kenny G that wrapped in early 1997.
Last fall, she released the Libra album and began supporting it with a number of holiday performances and TV appearances. The upcoming shows will feature a mix of her new material and classics from her 15-year career.
