He’s Fair And Square
Folk veteran John Prine has close to 20 dates booked over the next few months, including appearances at MerleFest and the Telluride Bluegrass Festival .
Prine recently won his third Grammy in the best contemporary folk album category for last year’s Fair and Square. He’ll continue showcasing his new material with theatre shows booked from early March through mid-June, starting at the Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville.
He’ll tour through the South and Midwest, heading north for four gigs in Wisconsin and one in Minnesota in May.
The Telluride appearance June 18 in Colorado is the last date on the books, for now.
Prine has been a regular road dog since 1999, when he returned to the touring circuit after a bout with cancer. Most recently, he made a run through Florida in December and performed with Maura O’Connell in Missouri and Indiana this past January.
