Eavis Honoured For “Organised Chaos”

Michael Eavis, whose Glastonbury has won Pollstar‘s International Festival Of The Year award for the last two years, joins the Music Managers’ Roll of Honour.

He will receive the honour at the Music Managers Forum annual dinner at London’s Park Lane Hilton Hotel April 19.

“It’s quite thrilling to know that after 34 years of organised chaos, I’m deemed worthy of this award,” was Eavis’ response to the announcement.

Alison Wenham of the Association of Independent Music, a tireless campaigner for the interests of the “indie” music companies, will be honored with the same award.

She said she warmly appreciated getting recognition from the managers “whose astuteness and lack of sentimentality is rightly legendary.”
