Miller’s band is named after his new album, The Believer, which is out now. He’ll showcase the new tracks at clubs and theatres starting March 14 in Toronto at the Horseshoe Tavern.

Next, it’s off to Austin, Texas, for two gigs at South by Southwest, and on to the rest of the country.

The tour will wind its way across both coasts and wrap in Madison, Wis., April 22.

“The songs on The Believer are about sex, war, love and death…but mostly sex,” Miller said. “Before going into the studio, I thought I’d be making a punk rock Ziggy Stardust, but I wound up with George Gershwin does T. Rex’s The Slider.”

When he’s not working the solo circuit, Miller serves as frontman for the Old 97’s, who toured extensively last year and released a double live album in September.
