Here Comes The Sleep Train II

California’s 12,500-seat Chronicle Pavilion will soon become the Sleep Train Pavilion at Concord following an April 11th City Council-approved vote.

The city-owned venue’s operator, Bill Graham Presents, struck the deal after the San Francisco Chronicle‘s sponsorship reportedly ended several months ago. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.

The promoter was given a two-year extension in its contract and the city will help BGP pay off some of the $740,000 in renovations to the pavilion from a decade ago, the Contra Costa Times said.

This is the second shed in the market with the mattress company’s name: BGP also operates the Sleep Train Amphitheatre in Marysville, near Sacramento.
