Clarkson will give audiences a preview of her new material, as well as performing selections from her two albums, which have sold more than 10 million copies worldwide.

The tour covers amphitheatres in the South and East Coast before heading west in late July. She’ll play a string of California dates the following month before wrapping in Seattle August 6.

Following the tour, Clarkson plans to go back into the studio to record her third album, her followup to the 2004 smash Breakaway. She hopes to release the disc late this year or in early 2007.

Tickets for the Addicted tour go on sale April 22. Tour promoter Live Nation has teamed with Ticketmaster to offer a select number of premium tickets for each show via auction on ticketmaster.com, with $10 from each ticket sold benefiting Komen Race For The Cure breast cancer initiatives.

According to a press release, the auctions are “an effort to enable fans to purchase quality ticketsin the best locations without having to contend with ticket scalpers.”
