Bluegrass Music Hall Debuts

The Monroe bluegrass family legacy just keeps on rolling, with the son of the legendary Bill Monroe opening his own venue, the 800-capacity James Monroe Bluegrass Music Hall near Franklin, Ky.

Opening week, which began April 19th, will see several country and bluegrass artists including James Monroe’s band, The Midnight Ramblers; Bobby Osborne’s band, Rocky Top X-Press; The Hatfield Band; Larry Sparks; Primitive Quartet; and Mac Wiseman.

The venue itself is a few weeks away from completion and the opening festivities are taking place on an outdoor stage, a representative told Pollstar.
