White Stripes Producer Sues

A producer who worked on the first two The White Stripes albums says he deserves royalties because he played a pivotal role in creating the band’s sound.

Jim Diamond is listed as a co-producer on the band’s first album and sound mixer on De Stijl. A trial has been set for June 12th.

The White Stripes deny Diamond helped create the band’s style and said they paid the producer $35 an hour for his work.
