ALO Takes Flight
Funky foursome Animal Liberation Orchestra is lining up a heap of headlining dates this summer in addition to festival appearances and support slots for Dave Matthews Band.
ALO will bring the jams to Blue Cats in Knoxville, Tenn., May 19, followed by a show at UC Santa Barbara, where the band originally formed.
The group, which spent time on the road with Jack Johnson and Galactic last year, will cover the U.S. and Canada through June, making room for several gigs with DMB in New York and North Carolina.
A number of outdoor events are booked through late July, including California’s
ALO put out its latest album, Fly Between Falls, independently last year. A reworked version was released this past April on Jack Johnson’s Brushfire Records.
