Copeland Services Set, Moved To HoB

Update: A memorial service for Ian Copeland has been moved to the House of Blues on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood in order to accommodate his many friends and colleagues.

Date and time remain the same: Tuesday, May 30th at 11 a.m.

Services were originally scheduled to take place at Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park but “since my father was so popular, we have had to get a larger venue for his memorial service,” daughter Barbara Copeland told Pollstar.

“I think the new venue is more appropriate and is more fitting of his personality.”

Copeland, who no doubt would be pleased with moving one last event to a larger venue, died May 23rd of melanoma at his Los Angeles home.

Donations to a melanoma research foundation may be made in the name of Ian Copeland to: Live4life Foundation, Attn: Melissa B. Sohn, 300 East 59th Street, Suite 502, New York, N.Y., 10022.
