Tompkins Named GM

Geoff Tompkins has been promoted to GM of the Memorial Civic Center in Canton, Ohio.

Tompkins was formerly with the Wolstein Center at Cleveland State University where he oversaw all event staffing since 2004.

The Ohio University grad will take over the GM duties in Canton from A.J. Boleski, who will be running the SMG-managed Big Sandy Superstore Arena in Huntington, W.Va.

“Geoff will provide top-notch booking, marketing and sales, operations consultation, and the experience to meet any and all challenges,” SMG regional manager Joe Mazur said in a statement.
