All-Star Rendezvous
Fans in nearly two dozen U.S. cities are getting a quadruple shot of smooth jazz this summer, courtesy of the KRendezvous All-Stars.
The tour features saxophonist Kirk Whalum, guitarist Jonathan Butler, bassist Wayman Tisdale and keyboardist Brian Simpson. The foursome will do a mix of festivals and theatre dates over the next few months, hitting Denver’s KJCD Summerfest, Seattle’s Chateau Ste. Michelle Jazz Festival and more.
The outing is being presented by Rendezvous Music, the new record label founded by smooth saxman Dave Koz.
The All-Stars hit three Southern California jazz fests in May and will stay on the road through September 2, when they play Nashville’s Music City Festival.
