No Fuel For Daughtry
American Idol competitor Chris Daughtry announced June 3rd he has turned down an offer to be the next frontman of
Daughtry would have replaced Brett Scallions, who quit the band in February.
Fuel’s Jeff Abercrombie and Carl Bell made the offer to Daughtry during an interview on the TV show “Extra” in May.
Daughtry, whose elimination from “Idol” took many by surprise, told The Charlotte Observer he’ll be “doing his own thing” after he finishes the “American Idol” summer tour, which is scheduled through mid-September.
