Jazz Pianist Hilton Ruiz Dies

Jazz pianist Hilton Ruiz, 54, died June 6th after falling in front of a New Orleans bar.

There were early reports he may have been beaten, but an attorney for his ex-wife and daughter said her clients were convinced Ruiz accidentally tripped or fell.

Ruiz had performed with Tito Puente, Dizzy Gillespie and Charles Mingus.
