Endless Summer Again?

The Beach Boys had a short reunion in Hollywood June 13th to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Pet Sounds – a gathering that was a logistical triumph considering the Boys’ litigious history – and Brian Wilson did not deny the chance of a concert together.

For the first time in 10 years, Wilson, Mike Love and Al Jardine appeared side-by-side. The trio, along with band member Bruce Johnston and former Beach Boy David Marks, was seen atop the historic Capitol Records building in celebration of the Pet Sounds anniversary and the double-platinum certification of 2003’s Sounds of Summer: The Very Best of the Beach Boys.

Cousins Love and Wilson have had their share of courtroom drama, and so have Love and Jardine. Yet, when reportedly asked about a possible reunion, Wilson reportedly said there’s a chance.

Another Beach Boys compilation, Warmth of the Sun, is scheduled to be released next spring.
