Kylie Reschedules

Kylie Minogue gave Frontier Touring Company the go-ahead to reschedule her Australian tour for November.

The dates, originally for May 2005, were canceled two days before the tour kicked off in Sydney when the singer was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Frontier managing director Michael Gudinski flew to Minogue’s base in London, where she personally told him, “I’m ready.”

He took the 18-hour flight back to Melbourne, arrived at 6 a.m., and by 11 a.m. was popping open a champagne bottle at a media conference hastily organized in a laneway outside Frontier’s offices in Albert Park.

Despite the growing demand for extra dates, Gudinski told Pollstar he was not going to exert any undue pressure on Minogue.
