The musical project of Santa Fe-to-Brooklyn transplant Zach Condon, Beirut has tours of the Northeast, Canada and the West Coast booked with more to come.

Condon and his accomplices will launch the first round of dates at Brooklyn’s McCarren Pool August 13, staying on the road for two weeks. Four Canadian shows are set for early October, including two Montreal gigs in the same day.

Later that month, the band will hit Seattle, San Francisco and more, winding through the Southwest to finish in Austin, Texas, October 26.

A U.K. tour with Calexico is planned for November.

Beirut’s debut album, Gulag Orkestar, created a massive buzz months well in advance of its May release on Ba Da Bing! The album combines Gypsy and Eastern European folk influences with electronic and pop elements.

The group played several New York shows in June but has never been on the road.
